Nestled in the small, quaint village of South Amherst, St. John's United Church of Christ was founded in 1888. In September 1901, the cornerstone was laid in what is now the existing church. On January 11, 1902, Rev. Samuel Lindenmeyer performed the all German dedication service paving the way for our church family.
